  Thallus pale greenish grey, thin, smooth, slightly glossy. Ascomata black, numerous, sessile to slightly immersed, straight or curved, rarely branched, 1–3 (–4) mm long, 0.2–0.3 (–0.4) mm wide, with a thin evanscent thalline margin; lips initially closed, becoming slightly open. Proper exciple laterally carbonised. Hymenium 125–150 µm thick. Ascospores 8 per ascus, submuriform to muriform, pale brown, 4–6 × 2–3-locular, (20–) 24–31 (–39) × (10–) 12–15 (–17) µm.
CHEMISTRY: No lichen compounds detected.
     
  Occurs in eastern in Qld, N.S.W. and Vic.; also in southern South America and New Zealand.
